Urban Arts Talent 2019-2020: Yori Olijslagers

Powered by TINC creates space for producer Yori Olijslagers. We have been selected by the Cultural Participation Fund to coach Yori towards and throughout his journey as Urban Arts Talent 2019-2020.

Yori is a producer, drummer and music director. During 2019-2020 he will develop his own sound and identity as an artist. In 2020 he travels to the US for classes from famed LA-based producer JNTHN STEIN. As a resident at music hub Dock Zuid he works on expanding his discography by releasing a new song every two months, and working towards his debut EP. Meanwhile, coached by social media experts Yori will develop his own brand.

On the 19th of February 2020 Yori presented the first Ableton User Group in Tilburg.

Yori shared his knowledge about the Ableton Sampler and Simpler with other music creators, producers and Ableton users. Seperated in small groups, all attendees used the same sample for a new track.

Bio

Until 2015 Yori Olijslagers engaged in various projects as a producer, drummer and music director. For the last 12 years he toured all over the world with Kyteman, Pete Philly, Dotan, Willem de Bruin (Opposites) and many more.

Since 2015 Yori decided to focus on his career as a producer. During writing sessions at ‘Wisseloord House of Music’ he produced music for himself and others. These sessions validated his enthusiasm for a career as a producer. In the upcoming months, Yori will be releasing new tracks. His first track has been released in August 2019, called ‘Everything’, ft. Jeruma.
